Swiss-American Products, Inc., a Dallas-based manufacturer of specialty skin and wound care products, is launching an innovative program designed to give healthcare providers additional resources and knowledge related to skin care and wound prevention and treatment. Swiss-American developed the Collective Learning Education And Resources (CLEAR ChoiceSM) program to help assisted living facilities, hospices, home healthcare groups, independent living facilities, pharmacies, and intermediate and long-term care facilities improve their ability to meet the clinical needs of their patients and manage budgets at the same time.
CLEAR Choice provides a complete line of skin and wound care products, a network of board-certified wound care consultants, and assistance with policy and procedure development related to skin and wound care. CLEAR Choice also provides educational support, customized to meet specific needs. Available educational programs include:
• Basic anatomy and physiology of the skin
• Wound classifications and assessment
• Prevention of skin integrity problems
• Risk assessment and documentation
• Wound therapy.
       Healthcare providers may take advantage of the CLEAR Choice program by joining the Swiss-American network. Swiss-American professionals then work directly with the provider to customize a solution that meets their specific budgetary and patient care needs. Products and services are provided at a special member-only fee.
       The CLEAR Choice program is available to all healthcare providers, regardless of size or type of practice setting, and specifically targets healthcare providers interested in preventative skin care and pressure ulcers.
