TCC-EZ™ Cast System Provides Additional Support and Stability

MedEfficiency (Westminster, Colo) introduces the TCC-EZ™ Total Contact Cast System, a total contact cast (TCC) that attempts to assist patients with diabetic foot ulcers with the task of offloading. The TCC-EZ consists of a fishnet mesh cast technology made of a single layered cast reinforced by an outer shell, which provides additional support and stability for patients.
The TCC-EZ is faster and easier to apply than the traditional total contact cast system, providing patients with the ability for full weight bearing in almost 20 minutes.

DermaClose™ RC Tissue Expander Helps Close Acute and Chronic Wounds

Wound Care Technologies (Eden Prairie, Minn) introduces the DermaClose™ RC Continuous External Tissue Expander. The device facilitates closure of wounds up to 15 cm in diameter by automatically expanding the skin around the wound until it is adequately stretched for suturing.
Ten skin anchors and a tension controller applies a constant, measured pulling force, which expands the skin around the wound as well as a clutch mechanism that prevents over tightening.
