Soluble Systems Launches New Smart Dressing
Soluble Systems recently launched TheraGauze+FN™, the latest product in their line of moisture regulating wound dressings. TheraGauze+FN utilizes the same SMRT polymer technology found in TheraGauze™ but is fenestrated to treat moderate to heavily exudating wounds. TheraGauze is a sterile proprietary polymer wound care dressing that regulates moisture differentially across the wound site. The new dressing is fenestrated (+FN) to allow excess exudate to pass through the dressing into a secondary absorbent dressing. The dressing can be used with negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) as the wound interface for precise moisture regulation and non-adherence. When used as directed, TheraGauze and TheraGauze+FN remain moist and active for up to 7 days, reducing the frequency of dressing changes. TheraGauze has received the prestigious “Seal of Approval” from the American Podiatric Medical Association, and is clinically proven to surpass even growth factor treatment for the closure of diabetic foot ulcers.

Sechrist Industries Introduces Ground-Check System
Sechrist Industries (Anaheim, Calif) announced the availability of a new Patient and Chamber Ground-Check System, which will provide verification of all National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) hyperbaric chamber ground requirements and is the first to be fully integrated into any hyperbaric chamber. The new system eliminates the need for in-house grounding solutions or complex commercial products that lay on the ground underneath the chamber. The integrated check system not only tests the patient and chamber independently for ground integrity, but also tests the ground integrity of the complete patient-grounding pathway (ground stud, chamber, and patient). Testing the complete patient-grounding pathway to meet NFPA 77 provides a higher level of confidence and assurance in a facility’s safety checks.
The new system can be integrated into all new Sechrist hyperbaric chambers and is available as an upgrade kit for use in installed units. The kit includes a chamber ground test point assembly, a chamber measurement kit and all associated cables, plus installation instructions for chambers already in use at wound care and hyperbaric centers.
