September 2012 Named Chronic Wound Care Awareness Month in Maryland

Through an official state proclamation, Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley designated September 2012 as “Chronic Wound Care Awareness Month” in Maryland, which coincides with the fourth annual Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) Fall Meeting to be held September 12-14, 2012, in Baltimore, MD.

The SAWC meeting is the premier educational wound care program and the largest annual gathering of interdisciplinary wound care specialists in the United States. To more effectively provide education to the growing group of clinicians involved in wound care, SAWC hosts Spring and Fall events, which are also the official meetings of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC), the preeminent, multidisciplinary organization for advanced wound care.

North American Center for Continuing Medical Education, LLC (NACCME) (Millstone Twp, NJ) is the CE-sponsor for the meetings, which are co-hosted by HMP Communications, LLC (Malvern, PA).
