Smith & Nephew (Largo, Fla) announces a sales, marketing, and distribution agreement with UDL Laboratories Inc to exclusively distribute the Biobrane® Biosynthetic Wound Dressing outside the United States.
This exclusive agreement will enable Smith & Nephew to provide a full range of burns products to its customers, enhancing its current burns portfolio of VERSAJET™ Hydrosurgery system and ACTICOAT™ antimicrobial dressings.
Biobrane is a biosynthetic wound dressing constructed of a silicone film, bonded to a cross-linked nylon fabric that acts as a temporary dermal substitute. Its use leads to faster wound healing times and a reduction in treatment costs.
